The Wiki Sci-Fi Roleplay:
Wiki Science Fiction, Future Fantasy, Modern Fic, Post-Apocalyptic and More!

"The Best Way to Predict the Future is to PLAY it."
-[Nightshadow]

<img350*0:stuff/DividerET.jpg>

     Not a competitor to the Wiki Fantasy Roleplay, but instead a page that picks up where it left off, this guild caters to those avid roleplayers who have an interest in involving technology with well-played, interesting, in-depth role-playing games. The name Wiki Sci-Fi Roleplay (WSFR) is clipped for convenience and not quite accurate...modern fantasy, science-fiction, future fantasy, and ungodly mixes of those are all welcome here.

     Like the Wiki Fantasy Roleplay (WFR), the WSFR is a single, continuous universe, situated in the Jeriah Galaxy. Multiple games can and will run here at once, but each RPG-world exists right next to others, on barriers that can be crossed. They're subject to interact with one another at any time, so stay on your toes. To see who's next to whom--and to put your own position on the map, if you'd like to add a game or open RP location--see the Jeriah Galaxy.

<img350*0:stuff/DividerET.jpg>

     Wait a second...how can there be modern fantasy and sci-fi games right next to each other? This can't be a continuous game!

     Ah, but it is. For convenience's sake, The Planet Earth is now located in the Jeriah Galaxy, as it's rather difficult to get a bird's eye photograph of the Milky Way Galaxy. It's an isolated little planet...what can you expect from a bunch of idiots who can't get farther than their own moon? Modern fantasy games will take place on The Planet Earth, while the affairs of the Jeriah Galaxy are conducted around that poor pathetic little world.

     Further, the WFR world of Jashnia isn't wholly isolated from the WSFR. It's just one member of the Selenar System, which sits toward the end of the B-tail of the Jeriah Galaxy. However, the stellar system has remained somewhat isolated from the rest of the galaxy, as certain political hotbeds choke travel.

     If you do intend to somehow connect a WSFR game to a WFR one, please contact both [Nightshadow] and [xido] with your idea.

     To begin playing here as an individual, visit the

WFR Application Page and check out other WFR Guild Members

     Even a well-written game, after all, is worthless without good characters and skilled players. Not everyone who applies will be accepted, but don't let that discourage any new or veteran player from trying. This selection system should keep play at a high level. Criteria for acceptance are outlined more clearly at the WSFR Application Page.

     So now that you're finished reading this for what's probably the first and only time in your life, welcome, play well, have fun, and see the Jeriah Galaxy for what games are available!

2004-05-23 [the crazed artist]: very much so...

2004-05-25 [xido]: Actually, the games IN The Planet Earth could use some GAMERS.... I just wanted to get some started..... anyone interested should comment on the page they'd like to join in..... And yes, I think we will have some interesting games from what is done thus far..... Woohoo!!! and Huzzah!!!

2004-05-25 [the crazed artist]: I will join...once I manage to create a character...

2004-05-25 [xido]: I just made up a name, and figured I'd make his personality as I go.....and the space one is experimental, really.....just a get-up-and-go wiki, kinda.  :)

2004-05-25 [the crazed artist]: no I have an idea for a character... I just need to get over my laziness and type it up...

2004-05-25 [Nightshadow]: Try sending [JimenaMoon] an invite...her character Jimena is modern.

2004-05-25 [Blood Raven]: I did talk with her, I think she'll find her way soon enough. I could create a modern character, but I haven't even finished my druid for the WFR yet, so I'd like to finish her first

2004-05-26 [xido]: Does anyone know the actual name of the race of alien in the self-named Spielberg film that HRGiger developed the creatures for? They're a good race for RP, and I wish to play one, but I'd like to use the actual name of the species.....

2004-05-26 [xido]: I'm trying to make an Alien-Goa'uld hybrid..... an alien breeder/infector....see Daathis. I'm currently calling the Alien species the Ylilk.....but I want the real name.

2004-05-26 [Blood Raven]: the aliens from the 'Alien' movies? They don't have any other name but Alien I think. I've been thinking about some races which could be added too, and those crossed my mind as well. They don't have any name though. They're practically just parasites which become murderous after growing a bit... The first thingy which comes from the egg is a facesticker, thenyou get smallish Alien, shed skin get big one, which kills lotsa stuff and is very hard to kill itself. I love them :)

2004-05-26 [Blood Raven]: Why not make something like no contact has ever been made with them, and there's only lotsa fighting if they meet other races. Or at least that happened in the past or so. Now when they are accepted and times are less... bloody, they have just gotten the name thought for them when they were at war. AS-185 or something, meaning Alien Species No. 185. All the other alien thingies found before the 185's are stuff like unknown animals and plants or so.

2004-05-26 [Blood Raven]: Besides, the Aliens from he movie never really had a language, although they were intelligent. Maybe they just discuss simple tactics with eachother, in a "they against us" instead or "Humans versus Elves" to name some random example. Thus they wouldn't have any names or something. Call it culture :)

2004-05-26 [Angel Dreamer]: what about the aliens from the Ender's Game and other books? those are pretty interesting species

2004-05-26 [xido]: Good idea, BR, thanks. And, yeah, they're my favorite race too....you know, even on the actual movie sites, they just called them Aliens....I thought that was a little unoriginal....I will make a cool name for them...cooler than Ylilk. Angel, I haven't read that series, but maybe you could describe them a little.....that would be a nice addition for gamers with a passion for the books....

2004-05-26 [Angel Dreamer]: o.o the buggers are warm blooded insects, maybe a little bigger than humans...iridecent wings and multi-faceted eyes are the most common features described, plus they're really smart. not good for playing, come to think of it, since they've got a hive mind (one mind/lots of buggers) highly advanced technology. the pequeinos/piggies are mammalish, with pig snouts, about hobbit size i think. live in forests, which are actually adult piggies cause they turn into trees when they're adults. very intelligent too, but not as advanced as humans.

2004-05-27 [Nightshadow]: All good ideas...I'll take the password off of the sci-fi races page, though, and let you folks write them up yourselves, as I've never seen/read any of those sources.

2004-05-27 [the crazed artist]: ...I'm totally lost...not my fault I never watch sci-fi, or read it (only Dune, because twas an awesome book)... like sci-fi rp's though...WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!

2004-05-27 [Blood Raven]: Dune was awesome, it just describes very little alien races. The only new things are those human-feline halfbreeds in the 6th book. As for the rest there are lotsa bad sci-fi movies with very bad aliens. It's surprising how little directors seem to think about how the critters actually survive or became what they are in the movie. I saw a movie once which has little alien bird-like thingies which only came out at night. There's was like only one night in 14 years cuz the planet had 3 suns. How can something survive underground for 14 years without eating anything and not even be sure there will be somethig outside when they come out, cuz it was quite a barren planet...

2004-05-27 [Blood Raven]: Did anybody see Starship Troopers? Preferably the series, as those were much closer to the book than the movie. Well anyways those were cool bugs :)

2004-05-27 [Nightshadow]: Actually, blood raven, we have cases here on earth where things can go underground for a number of years without eating...can't remember the exact instance I'll try to find the book. Something to do with deserts and frogs that come out when it rains. It's actually a state of suspended animation, and they can remain underground for years without doing anything.

2004-05-27 [Blood Raven]: Yes I know, but I still found it was crap. There were millions of those things. They can't all live 14 years on dust, can they? And if they eat eachother, why don't they do that underground as well? Then again, I didn't see the entire movie, maybe there was some explanation *shrugs*
